Shane Curran hails from Dublin, Ireland and is the founder of Muon, a company focused on granting individuals the ability to re-claim ownership of their data while at the same time alleviating issues surrounding data security for companies as they navigate through a difficult regulatory environment. Muon is a quantum-resistant, encrypted data storage platform that allows third party services to process personal information and analyze it without seeing, handling or intercepting it. He recently completed his final year of secondary school and was featured in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for 2018. Muon evolved from a research project entitled "qCrypt" that won him the 2017 BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition, the longest running science fair in the world. He developed his interest in technology from a young age, founding his first tech business at age twelve. He has designed and developed technologies in fields varying from Artificial Intelligence to business automation and, most recently, cybersecurity.
